Coffee Knits

This is why I should be drinking coffee again...

Wishlist? Christmas List? Mum and Sis in Law list?

I need a coffee and I need to learn how to knit. Again....

Both found @ Wayside Violet on Etsy

Interior Stag

I keep tagging, bookmarking and making notes of Stag prints at the moment. Maybe it was the homemade Venison sausage roll I had yesterday but there seems to be a bit of a personal trend with anything Deer related. Maybe I should get the Bambi DVD out just to really get in the mood!

Love this cushion - it mixes the masculinity of the Stag with the feminine chic of the flowers found @ Not on the High Street....

This blackboard totally caught my eye too found @ Brume (which is amazing)...

Singin' in the rain

I wish I was able to pull of rain and wind chic this weekend...just like Emma Watson.....

The New Choo

I have been checking out the news and events section of the University of Arts website - its a brilliant resource of whats hot to trot in London's young and vibrant fashion, art and creative world. Its also a great way of hearing about up and coming new designers and 'ones to watch'. I have massive shoe envy with this one. Destined to be HUGE is Joanne Stoker. She has just won a competition to kick start her own fashion business through the First into Fashion scheme. Jimmy Choo is their mentor whilst working rent-free in a studio in the Connaught Village.

Covet, covet, covet.....

The coolest gift wrap!

How fantastic is this?!?! Found via the very cool Black *Eiffel - resusable fabric wrapping paper by Chewing the Cud.....

Vintage Apothecaries

This evening I have been pouring over Art Nouveau design in the apothecary world. One of my favourite brands is Diptyque, so I have been researching Parisan perfume labels and beautiful glass bottles.

There are so many of you out there who are equally obsessed. It makes me want to make my own homemade products and adorn second hand glass jars with elaborate labels - all written by hand of course! So Diptyque is wonderfully French, Kiehls is fabulously American but what is our British equivalent?

Here is a selection of gorgeous bottles, labels and apothecary shelves....

My knitted wishlist.....

Attention Mum and Sis in Law - I am coveting these designs:

Lace, Denim and Cons

It's taken me a while to come around to lace but I am totally in love with these sexy bodies. Mixed with jeans and scruffy cons it looks awesome. I just need to make sure I have my sheer vest on underneath to prevent any sort of faux pas! As seen in this weekends Style magazine:

Monday Evening

My weekend was lovely. I had my best girlies round for tea, magazines, gossips and most of all they helped me re-style my room. Yes, I know I have been in my new house approximately 8 weeks but a girls gotta mix things up a bit! It's amazing what you find when you move a bed and de-clutter your drawers:

- a lacy bow headband (which is very Gossip girl and I heart)
- zillions of boyfriend socks (that are odd)
- approximately 10 pairs of dusty sunglasses (some scratched; some from school; one from Barcelona!)
- minute clothing from bygone days (which I cant bring myself to throw out)
- mis-matched earrings with no backs (which could definitely be a new trend!)

Monday evening was spent collaging, tidying and bathing. I am still kicking myself for not having the patience to knit. I must sit quietly and listen to my Mother. My Sis in Law was a wonderful student and is since making the bestest knitted beauties! Everything is on my wishlist. Follow her here: http://pinkerton1996.wordpress.com/

I have Paris in my head at the moment. Alot. Maybe it was talking to Frenchie, maybe it was talking to the boyfriend, maybe its because its been 10 years since I last went! Paris and headbands and a sprinkling of Chanel have been a constant source of inspiration and dreamy thoughts so it prompted me to make this mini collage in awe of them:

Personalising white walls!

I do love white walls, they're clean and a blank canvas for an array of colour schemes. It also means that I can constantly change throws, cushions, pictures, lighting and fabrics. However there is too much choice what to do sometimes! I havent done any collages for a while and thought where better to display my current ideas than on my bedroom wall! It is almost my own mini art project!

Although I do apologise for the awful quality of the pictures - I am coveting a digital SLR. There is too much technology I need right now!!

Framage

Me and my bessie housemate are in a flap over frames and frame displays. We have around 30 between us which we are arranging, styling and picking photographs to suit. So we have been surfing blog world for some inspiration and oh my we got it! Here is some beautiful styling and photography from Make Room for Living.

I absolutely adore the all white combination and floor to ceiling paintings. Its so chic!

Persuasion

Currently in talks with the boyfriend about at least one day in Paris this year....

Magazine Love

Happy Monday!

Had a cosy weekend of Christmas Editions of my fave magazines: Vogue, Elle Decoration and House & Garden! Friday was sat flicking through these, picking at Alfie's Fish and Chips, lighting candles, contemplating which songs to put on our Crimbo Party playlist and supping Classic & Espresso Martinis @ Village East. So a good start to the weekend!

Fascinators

I 'am obsessing about what to wear for my beautiful and glamourous friends hen do and more importantly her wedding!!! Surveying the wonderful world of Etsy to avoid any wardrobe duplications.  A headpiece for the service is an absolute must and want to buy a gorgeous ostrich fascinator - this one's my favourite by Bird on Wire:

Will be posting more ideas on outfits, shoes (!), clutches, headbands and coloured tights for the Cambridge wedding of the year ;-)

Specky!

I have to mention again that I have a brand spanking new pair of Tom Fords!!!!!!! Here is his cheeky advertising for eyewear. I somehow don't quite look like this in my pair.....
